Some of the Sandton Central Clean Squad
The Sandton Central clean team work on cleaning and maintaining the district and focus on everything from landscaping to pavement reinstatement. This team is made up of a 26-man cleaning crew and a 4 man maintenance crew. Equipped with branded mobile refuse bins and cleaning equipment continuously walk the district, picking up litter, cleaning sidewalks, weeding, trimming grass and trees and generally ensuring that all refuse and other unsightly matter such as illegal posters are quickly removed.
The management district has also embarked on various landscaping initiatives to beautify the entire area, concentrating on median-islands of roads as well as pavements. This initiative is supplemented by a team of 4 landscapers who ensure these areas are maintained on a daily basis. These initiatives are ongoing and have brought about a drastic improvement to the environment and will continue to be rolled out until all public spaces in Sandton Central have been fully beautified.
