Chairman of the CPF Wendy Vorster-Robertson said, "This is small tangible token of the community's appreciation, its so gratifying to know how hard you (the police) work. In our hearts there is far greater appreciation than we can show."Brigadier Alan Billings also thanked them for their efforts.

Prizes were sponsored by Macro Woodmead to the value of R1000 for each winner of the top four awards. For the 37 members of the top shift (Charlie relief) gift vouchers to the value of R100 were given to each member and sponsored jointly by the CPF and the Community Action Company.

The top cop was Constable M.J. Mahori and for visible policing and community involvement, Constable Lungi Mbatha was named the winner. Senior admin clerk Petunia Mashatile won the support category for her dedication in administrative duties.

In the detective category the prize was shared between a team of eight which included three reservists for their hard in bringing Sandton's most notorious fugitive, Shepard Moyo, to justice.
