Municipal Accounts Delayed
"Municipal account holders are reminded that it is still incumbent upon residents to pay their account even if no statement has been received." He advises that people calculate their normal monthly consumption and pay according to their average amount.
Those customers who receive their statements via the internet will get them as usual and can expect to receive them electronically this week.
"The City of Johannesburg would like to apologise to all its customers who have been adversely affected by these delays," he says.
The City sends out 1,2 million billing statements per month, of which 750 000 are sent to residential stands.
